Feldererhof in Tscherms near Merano
Family-run farmhouse with a long tradition
Our protected historic farmhouse has been family-owned for over 400 years. This is something we are especially proud of. With every passing of the farm to the next generation, the following guiding principle has been handed down: “Take care of the farm – it is a small piece of paradise on earth. Preserve it and value the people who sustain it together.”
These are the values we continue to live by today. We lovingly care for the old walls, the farmhouse, and the garden, as well as our vineyards and orchards surrounding the estate.

MEET THE GARBER FAMILY
Your hosts
At Feldererhof, Hans and Priska Garber welcome you together with their children Johannes, Katharina Maria, and Stephan. And, of course, Spike the dog. It is our pleasure to let you share in the life of our historic farmhouse.
Priska takes care of guests, the garden, and the many carefully maintained details and charming corners of the estate with great sensitivity. Hans and Johannes mostly work outdoors in the vineyards and orchards, where they devote themselves to cultivation and harvest through careful manual work.
The fruits of our land are transformed into our farmhouse products, which you can purchase on site. During our wine tastings, we are happy to tell you more about everyday life and work on our fruit-growing farm.

THE STORY OF FELDERERHOF
A meeting place for numerous artists
The history of our estate dates back to the 14th century – it has been family-owned since 1615. Our ancestors were engaged in livestock farming, fruit and wine cultivation, and even silkworm breeding. As you step into our farmhouse, you will discover artistic frescoes decorating the facades. Feldererhof is the birthplace of the regional conservator, art historian, painter, and priest Dr. Josef Garber (1883–1933).
Many of his artist friends came here and left their mark through wall paintings and portraits of the Garber family.
During our farm tour, we are happy to tell you more about the eventful history of the farm.

Recharge and unwind. Pure relaxation.
Let your feet dangle in the cool water, a refreshing drink in hand. Your gaze widens across the landscape. Walk barefoot through the soft grass to a sun lounger and relax in the warmth of the sun.
Children play nearby on the playground, in the shade of the great cedar and giant sequoia tree.
